A couple of large sales last week concentrated the mind on getting some new work completed. With totally uninspiring weather yesterday, I decided to opt for drawing rather than gardening despite the monster weeds and wildly growing lawns. It was a day for lighting the fire and settling down to designing some new pieces.
Having a little stash of felt made from madder dyed fleece, I set about designing a fox picture and some little foxy brooches. After a few hours and many foxes later, the composition was worked out and brooch design finalised.
Today saw some gardening take place in the sunshine and then hemp stretched, templates made and felt cut ready for stitching during the coming week. Will add some pictures next time.
